►What can you do with a bread machine?

Our Cuisinart is 8 years old and still going!

Mom has had this exact bread machine for all my life, it seems. She says she bought it in 2013 and I am still using it. I use it at least once a week.

I was born in 2005 so I was only 7 or 8 when she bought it. I think it must be the longest lasting appliance in the kitchen right now.

This particular bread machine has 12 preprogrammed options. You can make three loaf sizes and three different crust colors.

I just tried out baking bread right in the machine yesterday, since I usually like to make the dough and shape it in a regular loaf pan.

My older brother is visiting and he said he likes Texas Toast so I baked up my White Sandwich Bread Recipe and then sliced it into thick slices.

Yum! I ended up toasting mine in the air fryer and then slathering it with butter. Who needs dinner when you've got fresh bread?

Cinco de Mayo is coming up!

Mom loves margaritas, but she doesn't really have them very often anymore, not even for her birthday this year when we would always go to Chili's to celebrate.

She's missed her last two birthdays with her favorite margarita so I researched and planned so I could make her one on her birthday, even if it has no alchohol.

Now you just have to decide "salt or no salt on the rim?"
