For a couple of years, we had a round, basket style air fryer. I liked it and used it quite often to reheat food or cook treats from frozen. It seemed a little limited for actual cooking. But, I've moved up! 

We now have an Emeril Lagasse French door style. I'm really looking forward to developing new recipes for it. It's already opening up new and exciting ideas.

The first thing I tried was Refried Bean Tostadas. I started off with these Sinaloa Refried Beans. And, it took only 4 minutes to make the tostadas from yellow corn tortillas. So delicious!

I also tried some Crab Rangoon. I used my recipe for Shrimp Rangoon but I substituted imitation crab in place of the shrimp.

You can make your own tortilla chips in the same way as the tostadas. If you're really wanting something special, you can even make your Tortillas From Scratch then turn them into chips in the air fryer.

I have a new cookie recipe you will love, especially if you love apples and spice cake. These Frosted Applesauce Cookies remind me of cutting off the top of a cupcake and eating only that without all the fuss of peeling back the paper. It's the best part of the cupcake!
