This week, I made a batch of mom's favorite cookies, Chocolate Macadamia Nut. This is a combination of my favorite White Chocolate Macadamia except it's a chocolate base instead of plain. Seriously, the most delicious cookies I've ever made. They don't last long around here either.

Now that it's starting to get hot out, I'm starting to think about meals that are quick and easy to make.

I especially love pasta salads. Both this Crab Pasta Salad and this Broccoli Cheddar Pasta Salad are easy favorites. Or, if you want something without all the pasta carbs, Broccoli Bacon Cranberry Salad.

Have you ever tried a traditional Pound Cake Recipe? This is actually a recipe from my grandpa's grandmother. I've heard many stories from him about his grandmother. She was full Native American and was from Arkansas, not very far from where I live now. 

I wanted to stay as close to her recipe as possible. The only thing I added were instructions on what to do if you have no cake flour. Other than that, everything is the same. I love sharing a recipe like this with you! It's such a special memory and keeps the family heritage alive.
